History

ACI Group, initially a subsidiary of ICI, was established in East Pakistan in 1968. After Bangladesh’s independence, it became ICI Bangladesh Manufacturers Limited on 24th January, 1973. The company transitioned to a public limited company and obtained listing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange in 1976. In 1992, ICI transferred 70% of its shares to local management, leading to the registration of the company as Advanced Chemical Industries Limited. This marked a significant milestone in ACI Group’s history.

ACI Limited, with its multinational heritage, has since become one of the leading conglomerates in Bangladesh. It has diversified its operations into four major Strategic Business Units, each contributing to various sectors of the economy.
