Starting as an advertising firm in 1978, it expanded into the ready-made garment sector, laying the foundation for further diversification. Over the years, the group ventured into electronic media with Impress Telefilm Limited in 1996, pharmaceuticals with Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited in 1999, and publishing with Ananda Alo Ltd in 2008.
In 2009, Impress Group acquired Newtex Ltd and formed Impress-Newtex Composite Textiles Ltd (INCTL). Incepta Pharmaceuticals achieved significant milestones, including GMP certification and the introduction of vaccines for humans. The group also made advancements in aviation, wealth management, and infrastructure projects like the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in 2016.
