Navana Group, one of Bangladesh’s largest private sector conglomerates, has a remarkable history. Established in 1953 by Alhaj Jahurul Islam, the group expanded into real estate and automobiles with Eastern Housing Limited and Navana Limited. Under Jahurul Islam’s leadership, Navana Limited became the exclusive distributor of Toyota cars in East Pakistan in 1964. The group’s success continued with partnerships with HINO Motors and the establishment of Aftab Automobiles Ltd.
After Jahurul Islam’s passing, Shafiul Islam Kamal formed Navana Group in 1996, incorporating Navana Limited and Aftab Automobiles as strategic units. Today, Navana Group is renowned for its diverse business ventures across industries.
